CURRENT SERIES
The StoryBook Project: The Social Emotional Learning Solution
In this series, a lonely child from a chaotic household cannot count on her parents to teach her about emotions. In this illustrative series, she relies on a fantastic journey to learn about her emotions. How can she take care of herself? The series is an illustrated look at the essential process of emotional and social skill development with each illustration addressing a different skill: relationship-building, self-soothing, emotional understanding, communication, decision-making and empathy. The colorful art engages. It illustrates how children become confused about these developmental tasks if no one is guiding them. It challenges adults to consider their own emotional responses and how those responses impact children. The work supports Social Emotional Learning skill-building at home and school.
Originals displayed at Umpqua Bank - April, May, 2018 11 Original pieces
